“Once upon a time there was a country called NSW. The people who live there were not happy, complaining all the time about the high prices of food, petrol, and public transport.

But every time they asked the Premier, Morris Mirror, what he was going to do about it, his comment always was “I’m going to look into it.”

So finally, as his constituents were sick of his procrastinating, they got together and decied to replace the government with monkeys because all you had ot do was feed them peanuts.

Six months later the newspaper sent its reporters out to ask people in the street what they thought of the new government. Surprisingly, nobody had noticed the difference.”

Alida van den Bos, letter to the Daily Telegraph, July 7.
