Malcolm Holland writes in the Daily Telegraph, August 16 208, about plans to rescue another ailing river – this time the Hawkesbury, which “regularly suffers the blue-green algae blues, making waterholes where generations of western and north-western Sydneysiders swam on stinking hot days as tempting as freestyling in pea and ham soup.”
