“A couple of years ago Kentucky Fried Chicken knew that people were no longer interested in eating fried chicken, their tastes were changing, and so they sat around the marketing table and said: ‘Let’s change our name from Kentucky Fried Chicken to KFC and maybe no one will notice that what we’re selling is oily, greasy chicken. The Leader of the Opposition has gone out there and said, ‘Well, no one really wants to vote for the (Liberal Party or the Nationals) any more, so I’ve got a great idea … we’re not going to call it the Liberal National Party, we’re going to call it the LNP and no one will notice that it’s the same group of people with the same old ideas, the same greasy, good old boys.”

Queensland Treasurer Andrew Fraser makes sure that the LNP’s first day in parliament was not an easy one.
