The drover’s dog made a couple of appearances in Saturday’s letter’s page of The Australian, both of them in connection with the ASX:

“A new entity headed by the proverbial drover’s dog could hardly do a worse job than the ASX”. Margaret Palmer, Chapel Hill, Queensland.

“In March this year, even the drover’s dog knew the credit crunch would see a reallocation of bank funding and see a sharp slowing in credit growth.” Stephen Koukoulas, Global Strategist TD Securities, London, UK.
