“Sixty singles? There aren’t that many at a Desperate and Dateless ball, are there?”

Peter Roebuck on ABC Radio, responding to revelations that Gautam Gabhir’s century for India against Australia included sixty singles. Roebuck, reflecting on the match, also wrote:

“The Australians were humbled. Now comes the time to be humble. Ricky Ponting’s team was outbatted, outbowled, outfielded, out-thought, outrun, outcaptained and outclassed.”
